From Farm Market to Family Destination

Since 2004, Scott Lewis has transformed his 500-acre working farm into something truly special. What began as a simple farm market has evolved into a premier agritourism destination that welcomes families from across the region. Located about 30 miles from any major city, Scott faced the challenge of drawing visitors to his rural location—so he got creative.

"We decided to put an animal barn in and give people a reason to drive out to buy our produce," Scott explains. That decision sparked something magical. Today, Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo spans 15 acres and houses over 100 animals, from alpacas and goats to lemurs and deer.

More Than Just a Farm

What sets Lewis Adventure Farm apart is Scott's unique vision: "I wanted to be the county fair six months out of the year." The farm features attractions you won't find anywhere else—jumping pillows, pedal carts, and experiences designed to create lasting memories for visitors of all ages.

"A lot of people think we're just built for little kids, and that's so far from the truth," Scott says with a smile. "It doesn't matter if you're five or 95—if you can't have fun here, you can't have fun anymore."

Generations of Growing

As a fourth-generation farmer, Scott carries on a rich family tradition while pioneering new approaches to agriculture. His children work alongside him, representing the fifth generation to call this land home. The farm produces asparagus, apples, cherries, peaches, pears, and plums, with asparagus being their newest venture.

For Scott, success isn't measured just in crops harvested or visitors served—it's about the smiles on children's faces and the memories families create together. His commitment to welcoming people to the area and providing unique experiences has made Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo a beloved destination that proves farming and fun can go hand in hand.
